Future
First of all you would have to ask what life is. Without a future you can’t really live if you want to really live. Only existing, that’s easy, you just need to have you basic needs fulfilled. Among those you have eating, drinking, loving and so on.
Some people are satisfied with this and don’t really have any other expectations on themselves and life as such. But in reality they are totally missing out on what life really is all about. Too bad!
Those who want to make their life time count, need a plan, an idea about what to do with their lives. Is it about to just go with the flow, to do a bit of this and a bit of that or is there a vision, a future worth investing in? Time is ticking and some day it’s all over, this life.
Some people have the strength and the character to really get somewhere in life, to become a manager, a politician or a business man. Others might never be mentioned in any article. What is our life all about? Is it important that we are talked about, needed and people who got somewhere? What about the other ones?
For us as human beings recognition is very important. The one who made something out of his life, is honoured. The one who didn’t is often forgotten about. All that seems to count is performance. Not to mention the elderly and the sick, the ones who just don’t have much to offer…
What stays is the question:
Do all have the same fate, the one who was used to success as well as the one who never got to anything? We all have to die. Or maybe not? Oh, it would be a fact if…
… there hadn’t been a certain event about 2000 years ago…
There is a God who created this beautiful world. This God brought His son Jesus Christ to us humans so we would have an example of how life would really succeed.
In situations of need He is a little bit like a tow truck that pulls us from a wrong path onto the street again when we got lost. Prerequisite for this is our will that allows him to pull us. We have to let Him do it! He is available to help.
But Jesus wants to be more than just a help in times of need. He wants to reconnect us to God. Jesus Christ says in the Bible:
“I am the way the truth and the light, nobody can come to the Father except through me. Gospel of John chapter 14, vers 6
On the one hand, we can talk to him about everything that concerns us, especially our need, but then Jesus has a lot more than just the help. He wants to give us real, real life. And that happens when we live again according to our final destination Namely, in a constant personal relationship with our Creator, God.
It is all about a personal connection between you and God and God and you. This has nothing to do with church, membership and church taxes.
Relationship counts, not membership!
God longs to win your heart for Himself in order to show you how much He loves you and how wonderful His plans are for you. And this is so much better than any human can ever imagine in their wildest dreams! In order to get into this relationship you don’t have to work hard. Somebody else worked hard and this is Jesus. You need him to get a relationship to God because He is the way. It’s about entrusting your life into the hands of Jesus.
Jesus- what for?
Jesus, the son of God, is the only way to God. He is the only one who was able to open the way to God through His death on the cross. He gave His live for the entire human race.
Because of the things that go wrong in our lives we have absolutely no chance to get to God. The measure that we are judged by is the bible. Through Jesus we can come to God even though we are not perfect. That’s the difference.
Why do I at all have to come to God?
God has really good thoughts and plans for you. That is as true as the fact that God is just and that He will have to throw everybody out of His kingdom who doesn’t want anything to do with him. There is a life after death even though many believe with death it’s all over!
Your decision, please!
Every person decides during their life time here on earth about their own future. God has already decided, but He is waiting for your decision. Without it there won’t be any future together with God. He would love to welcome you in His kingdom.
Here is a prayer that could help you to entrust your life into the hands of Jesus. You can simply talk to Jesus the same way you would talk to a person.
Prayer:
” Jesus I want to entrust you my life. Many years I have lived without you and I am really sorry for that. I have recognized that I need you. I am sorry for when I have lived differently from what it says in the bible. I want to have the good life that God has for me. Thank you Jesus that from now on I can live in a relationship with God.”
If you have prayed this or a similar prayer to Jesus you can be sure that God has accepted you. It is possible that you feel a deep joy in your heart. Or it can be that nothing special at this very moment is happening. This is not important. Important is the fact: God has accepted you!
If you still find it hard to say this prayer because there is doubt in your heart that God really exists, you can also talk to him just like this in a normal conversation. Ask God that He will reveal Himself in your life. He will do it! God is waiting for you to talk to Him.
Here still a few tips:
